9 Months

Owen turned 9 months on July 7th and I promised myself I would update the blog about it.

Owen has been scaling the furniture like crazy lately.
Sometimes he even lets go and stands all by himself.
It's so weird to look over and see Owen stand and not hold on to anything.
I get so nervous that he will fall and bump his head,
so now I have to keep my eye on him all the time.
I miss the days where he was content by just having me hold him in my arms.

I started feeding him completely from the bottle about a month ago.
He loves it and it seems like he is a whole lot happier.
Before I think he would still be hungry after I breast fed him,
but would never take formula after. I'm glad I made the switch.
I also had to though because there was nothing left.
It was a sad day for me. :(

I forgot to make an appointment with his Pediatrician for his 9 month check up,
so now we have to wait until he's 10 months to get his statistics.
I will post those as soon as I get them.

3 months

Owen turned 3 months on the 7th of this month.
I can't believe my little gummy bear isn't so little anymore!
He smiles, laughs, talks, and loves tummy time.

He's gone to see his Dr. a couple times this month
due to some really bad ear infections.
Poor guy.

The good news is that he weighed in at 15 lbs 5 oz
on Jan 5th. He's a chubster.

On another note . . .
I need to update this blog more
because I want to make a cute blog book for 2011.
Last year didn't go so well,
but this year my new years resolution is to blog at least
once a week.
If I don't then you can track me down and pull out one of my front teeth.

So that leads me to this week's blog post.
Matt's dad trades beef jerky for diapers. Yes I know that
sounds so weird, but it's true. I'm grateful for beef jerky, because
without it we wouldn't have any diapers . . . or I should say
I'm grateful for Matt's Dad, because without him we wouldn't have to
buy any diapers. Yes. That sounds better.

Matt and I have only bought 1 package of diapers . . . EVER!

Owen smiles for the camera now. I love it! The smiles
come out once he hears the camera's shutter.
I've trained him well. Well done child . . . well done.

I don't really have any pictures of Owen and me, so I thought today
I would get in a picture. This is the best I could do.

and last but not least . . .
another picture of Owen.
Please disregard the Buffalo Bills blanket hanging over the window.
We put it there to block the cold air from coming in. I swear.

The End

December

I started a new job early in December.
I love it. It's close. I only work Thursday and Friday. . . and it pays pretty good.
I'm basically going to stay there forever. . .
Well, that's until I'm done with my Radiology/Nursing program.
I haven't decided which program I want to do yet.

Matt and I went to the Tabernacle Choir's Christmas Concert.
David Archuletta was AMAZING.
Is it bad that I'm in love with a 12 year old?

It was funny because Matt told his coworkers that he
was going to see the Tabernacle Choir sing
with Justin Aguilera. Who the heck is that?

A lovely picture of the hubby and I.
(Don't mind the girl behind us giving the camera a look of death)

Matt's Grandparents had a Christmas Party the night before.
It was lovely.

Owie got to sit on Santa's lap!

Owie had 2 ear infections for Christmas.
I don't think that's what he asked for.
He was miserable.

Matt took him to the doctors and got an Antibiotic.
The pain went away after 2 days.
We dressed him up like Santa.

Doesn't he make a cute little asian Santa?

We went to my parents for Christmas Eve
We gave everyone pictures of Owen for Christmas.
Who wouldn't want that?

Yves looks pissed . . . but trust me it's just what she wanted.

My cute parents

This is the only picture of Owen on Christmas Eve.
He was still miserable that night.

Christmas Day we spent at Matt's parent's house.
His sister Jen was in town and we wanted to make sure
she didn't go crazy there, so we hung out with her that day.

We blessed Owen the day after Christmas.
He still wasn't feeling well and through up all over
his outfit. Here he is before we left for church.

I loved the blessing Matt gave him. We had so many friends
and family members in the circle. A lot of them
couldn't even fit in. I saw my Dad on the outside trying to
squeeze his way in. Sad!

That night my Aunt Vickie's family drove in from
Californ-I-A.
We went to go see the Temple lights with them.

While we were there I ran into some friends I haven't seen
in a very long time. My sisters and I used to babysit these
cute little girls.

So tired.

Hopefully everyone had a wonderful Christmas!
and hopefully I'll be better at blogging in 2011.

Owen's First Thanksgiving

Thanksgiving is one of my most favorite Holidays!
Every year I look forward to my mom's Filipino cooking.
And I'm so mad that I didn't take any pictures of the food.
That's the best part! j/k.
I myself made my hubby's favorite dish. Giada De Laurentis' Mac N Cheese.
It is honestly so good! Click here if you want the recipe.

This was Owen's first Thanksgiving and he slept through the whole thing!
It was probably because he was being passed around like crazy.

But I am so thankful for my husband, son, pup, parents, sisters,
brother-in-law, cousins, aunts, uncles, grandparents, in-laws, friends,
and the list goes on.

Here are a couple of pictures of Owen's first Thanksgiving.

Yves was really mad in this picture because she wanted to hold Owen and be in the middle. Haha!

Our first Thanksgiving Family Photo

Me and my son. I have a son! So weird!

My mom and Owen. Doesn't he look so angelic in this picture?

My Dad and Owen. My dad was sick so we made him put on a mask and my mom sanitized his entire body with hand sanitizer. Haha! Poor Dad. He didn't even get to hold Owen in this picture.

Auntie Sheryll and Owen

Uncle Karlo and Owen.

My Family! My Poor Dad!

My Aunt Margot got Owie this coat. He looks like a care bear.

Sleeping because he is so tired.

I hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving and hope you all spent it with
those that matter the most!
