California!!!

Me and Matt decided to take another trip to California before the summer ended. It was perfect timing because my Grandma was just returning from the Philipines and my Uncle was celebrating his 50th birthday. We also thought it would be fun to visit Matt's sister Jennifer. We had such a good time.

The second day we were there me, Matt, Jennifer, and Birk (Jenn's amazing roomate, who by the way has the coolest job in the land) rollerbladed on Santa Monica Beach. It was so funny because Jennifer and Matt are really amazing rollerbladers. They know all the tricks and basically could compete in the olympics (if that sport existed), Birk and I however weren't so good. Birk said it was his second time rollerblading, but he actually did really good for only rollerblading twice, and then there's me, let's just say that I got really lucky and caught myself everytime my face almost hit the ground.

The weather was perfect! While we were rollerblading Matt spotted a little girl who was riding a bike and crying hysterically because she was lost. It was the saddest thing I've ever seen. We asked her where her parents went. She could barely speak but responded with, "My uncle was too fast... and lost me...". We stuck by her and rollerbladed until we found a Lifeguard, on the way there Jennifer spotted Al Pacino pushing his kids on the swing. We asked him for a picture and he was ok with it. I was surprised. I thought he would just blow us off. He did in the end when I found out that my camera was on video mode and I wanted to switch it to camera mode. He just mumbled something and walked away. But even though he was pretty rude it ended up having a great time because the Lifeguard found the little girls parents.

The next day we went to get my parents at the Airport and headed over to my Grandma's in Orange County. We stayed at the house that I grew up in. I love staying there. It brings back so many memories of my grandma and grandpa. We always just hang out and do whatever when all my moms family get together. It always is fun.

The next day we went down to Ocean Side for my Uncle's 50th birthday. They moved into an amazing house. It's about 10 minutes from the beach so Me and Matt took my little cousin Josh to Ocean Side Beach. The waves were so huge! It was way fun riding them in.
The next day we went back to Jennifer's. We went to this really cool garden Birk knew about. Birk brought his boyfriend Robert who is so funny. We saw a huge spider towards the end. It was so funny because we were all facinated by it and kept taking pictures of it for like 5 minutes.

When we got home Robert and Birk cooked us an amazing dinner... Beef Stroganoff. Yummy! Then after that we had a fun night of UNO... and not just the boring old UNO that everyone plays, Birk had the funnest rules to the game that I've never played before. It was way fun. It was so funny to watch Jennifer. She gets really competitive.
I was running out of clothes so I decided to Urban Outfitters right next to Jennifers apartment. Forest Whittaker was there shopping with his family. He was really nice.
We wanted to do something really fun on our last day so we went to Universal Studios. We decided that it was too much money (about $150 for both of us) so we just left and went to the beach. I'm glad we did it, because it was so fun.

Gianne! Sounds like you had a fun trip to California. You always seem to run into celebrities. Also, you did a very nice job with Jill's maternity pics. About the "link" thing from my blog, I don't know what it means. I just copied the whole thing from the person who tagged me and posted it on my blog and it had "link" on there but I didn't do anything with it, so you can just do the same.

Thanks for the comment Matt. I don't know how you found my family blog but I am glad you did. I am guessing it is off of Dave Neil's blog. Anyways it was good to see some pictures of you and your wife and get caught up. I hope everything is going well for you guys. Did you ever get an interview with UoP? If you are still interested let me know because I moved to another school and they just opened an new center right next to the prison. You could finish up your degree for free and get paid. Anyways keep in touch and don't cut down any ones personal tree this year for Christmas.
Peace out bro.
