Pet Peeve Friday

I don't think I'm a negative person,

but sometimes certain things that people do just irritate the heck out of me.

For example, I absolutely HATE HATE HATE when people go ON and ON

about what's happening in their lives

and even though it's not really interesting to me

I'm still actively involved in the conversation and am there to listen and offer advice.

But as soon as I start to talk about what's happening in my life,

Said person goes back to reading a magazine

and all I get out of Said person is "mmm hmmm".

This hasn't happened just once.

Oh No! This is how I spend my two days out of the week people!

I've kind of watched how Said person interacts with other

people besides me and it's the same thing.

So I know it's not just me.

AAAAHHHH! It drives me CRAZY!

I'm interesting too!

For example, I could talk about my fascination with school supplies

or

I could tell you about my childhood dream of becoming an archeologist.

(I knew how to spell "archeologist" in 2nd grade by the way).

Jk. That would be Effing boring.

I'm funny. I like to laugh.

I don't like to talk about the weather.

And I used to be a man. Jk.

I wonder what said person would do if I told said person I used to be a man.

Hmmm . . . maybe I'll try a little social experiment when I see

said person next week and see if all I get is "mmm hmmm".
