Do you ever have those random moments in life where you’ll get this overwhelming feeling that suddenly hits you and makes you realize that you have so much to be thankful for? I love those moments.
On Saturday I took my husband and pup on a hike up in Millcreek Canyon. The weather was perfect. Everything was perfect.
After parking our car, we walked about 2.5 miles before we got to the Mt. Aire trail. The trail was a bit muddy in some parts, but overall was really fun. It’s amazing how much fun you can have by just hiking up a mountain with someone you love.
We were about an hour up the trail when Matt started talking about bears. I asked him if he thought there were any bears close to our trail. He replied, “The bears are all in hibernation right now so don’t worry.” He quickly paused and thought about it for a second, then continued, “Well actually, they could be coming out of hibernation right now, so we might see one.” After that conversation ended I convinced Matt to head back down. I’m a wuss when it comes to getting eaten alive.
On the way down we stopped and ate our Turkey, Avocado, and Bacon sandwiches that we bought from Dans. I only ate the Turkey and Bacon in mine (yumm) and gave the rest to Nala, which she happily agreed to take. After lunch we continued to walk down the trail and back to our car.
